Terms & Conditions Policy

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms and Conditions”) carefully before using the www.cognitivedirection.com website and/or booking a consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session operated by Cognitive Direction (“us”, “we”, or “our”). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others (“participant”) who access or use the website or our consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.

 

RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT

To make an consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session booking with Cognitive Direction clients need to make a booking enquiry. This can be done by emailing info@cognitivedirection.com or by telephoning 020 8798 3455. Cognitive Direction will reply to any booking enquiry within 24 hours. Where a consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session is available Cognitive Direction will provisionally reserve the space(s)/date(s) and will email the client confirmation of this. The provisional reservation will be valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated and will only be confirmed once full payment for the space(s)/date(s) has been received. Cognitive Direction will send a separate email containing an invoice for the consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session. The invoice will cover the cost of the consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session plus any additional items requested by the participant or organisation (for example venue hire). Clients will need to pay the invoice in full using BACS transfer, cheque or cash. Where a client is not able to use BACS transfer, cheque or cash, it is at the discretion of Cognitive Direction to determine if a consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session can be confirmed and paid for at the start of the consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session. Cognitive Direction will email a booking confirmation to the client or organisation within 24 hours of full payment being received. The booking confirmation email will confirm the consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session (and any additional items) booked, date, start time, expected end time and location, Cognitive Direction facilitators contact details and what to bring to the consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session. Please refer to our Cancellations and Refunds Terms should an amendment to a booking be required. The prices on our website and promotional leaflets are correct at time of publication, however, we reserve the right to raise or lower our prices at any time. Cognitive Direction reserve the right not to accept or fulfil a booking request and all booking requests are subject to availability. When a reservation is made by one person on behalf of another person or other people, the person making the reservation confirms to us that he or she has the authority to make such a booking on behalf of the other person(s).

 

CONSULTANCY SERVICE, CORPORATE PROGRAMME OR CORPORATE THERAPY SESSION ITINERARIES

Cognitive Direction reserves the right to vary a consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session and thus exclude listed techniques and itineraries as deemed appropriate. Cognitive Direction may, on very rare occasions, shorten a consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session and thus exclude listed techniques and itineraries, if a participant or number of participants are deemed inadequately prepared to complete the consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session, exercise or technique. No refunds will be offered for any amended consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session.

 

UNDER 18’S POLICY

Any under 18 participant joining a corporate programme or corporate therapy session must be agreed in writing in advance of the corporate programme or corporate therapy session by Cognitive Direction. It is at the discretion of Cognitive Direction to determine if an under 18 is suitable to participate in the corporate programme or corporate therapy session, and any decision made by Cognitive Direction must be respected and adhered to.

 

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

We understand that it is not always possible to make a scheduled booking for a corporate therapy session. To cancel or amend an individual session booking please email info@cognitivedirection.com. Provided that 24 hours’ notice is given before the scheduled start time of a corporate therapy session Cognitive Direction will charge a cancellation fee of £25.00. Cognitive Direction are unable to refund participants who do not show for a corporate therapy session or cancel a corporate therapy session with less than 24 hours’ notice. In these circumstances the full fee for the corporate therapy session will be charged to the client. Cognitive Direction are not able to refund any corporate programme or consultancy service cancellations where less than 7 days notice is given before the scheduled start date of a consultancy service or corporate programme. Where possible we will offer an alternative date or time to reschedule the original consultancy or programme. Cognitive Direction reserves the right to cancel a consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session for any reason. In the unlikely event Cognitive Direction cancels a scheduled consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session, clients will be informed via their contact email address and an attempt will also be made to contact clients via their contact phone number. In such an occasion a full refund will be given via the original payment method for a consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session and an additional consultancy service, corporate programme or corporate therapy session date offered.

 

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY AND HEALTH

Cognitive Direction is unable to provide any secure storage areas at our venues. Participants are advised to bring only essential items and are responsible for any items they bring with them into the corporate therapy session or corporate programme. It may be possible to store small items in the venue but participants do so at their own risk of loss, theft or damage. Cognitive Direction are not liable for any loss, theft or damage caused to a participant’s belongings before, during or after a corporate therapy session or corporate programme. Participants are also responsible for their own safety throughout the corporate therapy session or corporate programme and are expected to exercise due care and attention at all times throughout the corporate therapy session or corporate programme. Cognitive Direction is not liable for any injury, accident or even death caused to a participant during a consultancy service, individual corporate therapy session or corporate programme. Participants acknowledge that taking part in a corporate therapy session or corporate programme with Cognitive Direction can be physically strenuous. If you have a known medical condition or feel unwell it is your responsibility to declare this in full prior to the start of the corporate therapy session or corporate programme, where appropriate, to bring a medical certificate authorising participation in the corporate therapy session or corporate programme. Cognitive Direction reserve the right to refuse to allow a participant to take part in a corporate therapy session or corporate programme based on the medical declaration. Participants accept that taking part in corporate therapy session or corporate programmes that involve movement and physical exercises carry the risk of causing injury, both minor and potentially major or even death, and that they participate at their own risk. Cognitive Direction is not liable for any injury, accident or even death caused to a participant before, during or after an consultancy service, corporate therapy session or corporate programme. Participants agree to sign a Release of Liability form at the start of each corporate therapy session or corporate programme to confirm that they have voluntarily enrolled to partake in a corporate therapy session or corporate programme and that they waive, release and forever discharge Cognitive Direction from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages resulting from participation in our consultancy services, corporate therapy sessions or corporate programmes.

 

CORPORATE PROGRAMME PHOTOGRAPHS

Cognitive Direction may take photographs of participants and the programme. Participants authorise any photographs taken of them during the programme by Cognitive Direction to be used wholly or in part in any publication (commercial or otherwise), portfolio, promotional collateral, website, social media or public display. Participants who do not wish for their photographs to be used for this purpose will need to declare so in their Release of Liability form signed at the start of each programme. These photographs are copyright to Cognitive Direction. Use of the photographs may be granted to third parties, however the photographs will remain the property of Cognitive Direction.

 

PARTICIPANT BEHAVIOUR

Cognitive Direction reserves the right to refuse a participant to take part in a corporate therapy session or corporate programme, at the start of, or at any time during the corporate therapy session or corporate programme, should the participant’s behaviour be deemed to be offensive to other participants. Cognitive Direction also reserves the right to stop a participant joining a corporate therapy session or corporate programme if we feel their behaviour may put the safety of other participants at risk. Cognitive Direction request that mobile phones are turned off or placed into airplane mode for safety reasons. We reserve the right to stop a participant joining a corporate therapy session or corporate programme, or to continue with a corporate therapy session or corporate programme, if we feel that their use of a mobile phone is a nuisance to other corporate therapy session or corporate programme participants or could place them in danger whilst using the device.

Our website may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Cognitive Direction. Cognitive Direction has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Cognitive Direction shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or I connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available through any such web sites or services. We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any thirdparty web sites or services that you visit.

 

CHANGES

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
